Cadre Advisory · Penarth
Start, scale and grow with Cadre.
Cadre means a small group trained for a particular purpose. Ours is finance: accountants, funding specialists and planners who act as your advisor — so you can get on with the business.
The last finance firm you should need.
You no longer need a separate accountant, funding broker and corporate specialist. One team, one relationship, advice you can act on.
What we do
Great individuals. Collectively brilliant.
Four desks. One standard: clear advice, no theatre, and a path to buy the work you actually need.
Accountancy
Efficient, accurate accountancy with a personal advisor, not a distant year-end process.

View serviceWealth Management

View serviceWhy Cadre
Take the finance pressure off the founder.
You already wear enough hats. We keep the books clean, the funding honest, and the plan in writing — then stay as your advisor, not a once-a-year vendor.
Tell us the goal
Raise, exit, tidy the accounts, or just stop guessing. A short call is enough to start.
We scope the work
You get a plain recommendation: who leads, what it costs in outline, and what happens first.
You instruct us
Engage the desk you need. Stay for the rest as the business grows.
Who we help
Support at every growth stage
From first company to a multi-entity group. The mission is the same: help entrepreneurs succeed without the headaches.
Start-ups
Foundations done properly: books, tax, and a funding path that does not box you in later.
Scale-ups
Forecasting, funding and an FD-level view so growth does not outrun the numbers.
Established businesses
Many moving parts. We keep them visible — and advise on the decisions that actually move the needle.
Proof
Cadre helps Brixtech Limited fuel growth.
A strategic acquisition, then lasting support. We completed financial due diligence, negotiated heads of terms, structured the deal — and now run the financial systems so advice stays data-led.

Past Experience
Tom is trained in national practice and moved to industry working on transactions (in house), and moved back to practice to specialise in Corporate Finance as an advisor. He became aware of a change in the profession leaning more towards advice and founded Cadre as a result – in order to capture the advances in tech and deliver actionable data with clear advice. Tom also acts as an external CFO for start, scale and growing companies.
Interests outside of work
- Family – Tom recently became a dad which has been life changing but he does miss sleeping.
- Travelling – With being able to work from anywhere Tom is able to take more trips with the family and is a big fan of staycations.
- Sport – Tom is a huge rugby fan and keen golfer but maybe not a good golfer….
What Tom enjoys about working at Cadre
The culture, as Cadre put the clients first by providing positive, proactive, and efficient advice. This allows Cadre to create a relaxed environment as we are not always pressed by deadlines as in traditional practice.
A fact about Tom that not many people know
Tom never liked accountancy until advances in tech made it possible to work with live data… it allows Cadre to really advise clients.
Past Experience
Jamie trained in the tax team at UHY Hacker Young whilst studying ACCA. He spent 5 years at Gerald Thomas Chartered accountants before identifying that clients wanted more from their advisors. Jamie joined Cadre in 2020 in the heart of the Covid Pandemic to provide that higher level of service to clients.
Interests outside of work
- His dogs are what make him smile. He has two dogs of his own and his wife runs a doggy day care business, so his life is full of dogs.
- Jamie is also a big rugby fan. He played from the age of 6 until his mid 20's.
What Jamie enjoys about working at Cadre
It is a relaxed atmosphere and as far away from your traditional accountancy stereotype you can get. Cadre works with clients on a closer basis than most, so developing those relationships is great and he gets to meet some very inspiring entrepreneurs.
A fact about Jamie that not many people know
Jamie ran an 11 second 100M at 16 years old. He is much slower now. He lost his hair to male pattern baldness at age 25 — which he says isn’t bad considering his dad was bald by the time he was 19.
Past Experience
Lewis started his career in finance as a Derivatives Trader before finding Wealth Management. Following a paraplanning role at a small IFA practice, Lewis spent 4 years at a large national advice practice, where he began advising clients at the age of 26. Lewis joined Cadre in July 2024 to lead the Wealth Management arm of Cadre.
Interests outside of work
- Sport takes up most of Lewis's time outside of work, spending summers playing golf, winters playing football, and all year round being a long -suffering Spurs fan.
What Lewis enjoys about working at Cadre
I love the different types of clients I get to work with, all with vastly different stories and backgrounds. Also, it's refreshing to work and collaborate with other professionals like Jamie and Tom that bring so much expertise in areas I may not have been exposed to otherwise.
A fact about Lewis that not many people know
Lewis is a big Heavy Metal fan and a very accomplished guitarist, however has never been in a band!
